Tropical Depression 7 (1999) Archive

This is the Hurricane Warning
archive of tropical depression 7.
The best data available was used
to create this archive, in order to
make it as educational as possible.

Meteorological Analysis

Tropical depression 7 originated from an interaction between a monsoon flow and
a tropical wave in early September. This interaction resulted in a low level
circulation forming on September 5th over the bay of Campeche. The low level circulation
quickly organized and became a tropical depression the same day, near Tampico, Mexico.
The depression almost made it to tropical storm strength but, moved inland on the
6th near La Pesca, Mexico as it continued NW in the monsoon flow. The
depression then brought heavy rains to Texas and Mexico before dissipating
on the 7th over Mexico.

Casualty and Damage Overview
