Meteorological Analysis
|
Tropical depression 2 originated from a tropical wave which left the African
coast on June 6th. The wave moved quickly across the Atlantic, and on the
11th formed a closed circulation and became tropical depression 2. The
depression moved rapidly westward at just under 20 kt due to the strong sub
tropical ridge, and the depression's convection got sheared off rapidly due to
this movement. The depression degenerated into a tropical wave on the 11th,
it was about 825 nm ESE of Barbados at the time.
